Waste Detect’s RFID tags are approved high quality transponder chips for the identification and registration of waste and recycling bins. Waste data at the point of collection is made possible by fitting an RFID tag into the chipnest under the comb bar. This enables the tag to be almost invisible and also offers longterm protection. The tag is fixed to each waste container and is automatically read during the normal lifting and tipping process.
Prevent the collection of unwanted and unknown bins
Radio frequency identification (RFID) tags are fitted to the bin. The bin tag is read by a tag reader installed to the lifting comb. The bin weighing system identifies and reads a unique number, thus validating the bin prior to lifting and emptying. It also prevents the collection of unwanted and unknown bins (a bin with no tag or an unknown tag), essential for optimal collection operation.
